A Japanese, roasted green tea, Hojicha is what you get when the grade of green tea is not good enough to become Sencha. By roasting the tea, a new dimension of flavour emerges. It becomes sweet with hints of barley and takes on a toasty, caramel aroma. Even lower in caffeine than other green teas, this is popular with children and enjoying at the end of the day. We like this on it's own, but also compliments well with some ginger.
